DRAG AROUND THE WORLD

DATW is a docu-fiction format. The main star is the Swiss drag queen Odette ‘Hella Grand. Odette travels around the world, from performance to performance. On her journeys, Odette meets dazzling show stars and incredible people with immense passion. Drag queens, drag kings, burlesque performers, witches, acrobats, and many more. We dive into a vibrant microcosm and gain insights into the queer scene of each respective country during her travels. The storyline is conceived, but not a word is scripted.

This isn't necessary, as drag queens have an inherent longing for the spotlight. Out of drag – and this is what makes our format particularly exciting – we get to know the people and their stories behind the stage personas. As aptly described by Odette: "Behind the curtain, it’s damn dirty!" :)

DATW is flamboyant, loud, funny, captures the zeitgeist, and provides educational value in the most positive sense. It offers a glimpse into a tolerant, warm-hearted, and incredibly colorful world.
